The Double Messiah
The genius and hubris of Christianity is the same: the allegorization of scripture. I will use the concept of exile as an example. Pascal writes:
For Pascal, the rivers of Babylon and holy Jerusalem are metaphysical signifiers. If they were not, what interest would an early modern Frenchman have in the earthly travails of an ancient tribe?
Yet for the descendants of that ancient tribe, the rivers of Babylon and Holy Jerusalem are not just points on a map of the human spirit. Zionism actualizes the return from Babylon to Jerusalem in a this-worldly way.
Christianity's genius is making the distant happenings of one nation immediate and relevant to individuals of all nations. Its hubris is that, in doing so, it robs that one nation of its identity: Christians become Israelites of the spirit, the physical Israelites become fossils.
Although a Jew, I take my emphasis on the metaphysical dimension of exile from Christian thinkers like Pascal and Augustine. I'm not opposed to Zionism as a political project, but I am opposed to Zionism when it eclipses the meta-political cry of Pascal:
For Pascal, the "rivers of Babylon" snake through Palestine as much as they do Mesopotamia. I embrace him as a fellow Israelite of the spirit. But I refuse to subsume my identity as an Israelite of the flesh.
Christianity denigrates the body for the same reason it has traditionally denigrated the Israelite: for not living up to the spiritual body, the spiritual Israelite. Here is where my sympathies return to Judaism. "Abraham's seed" is not just a metaphor. The man's sperm founded a people as much as his spirit. "Circumcision of the heart" is well and good, but circumcision of the penis is much more cutting.
I believe in the double messiah: a sanctified penis and a sanctified heart, Zionism and meta-Zionism, sex and meditation, Herzl and Pascal, Bar Kochba and Christ. Only when both messiahs come will exile be at an end.
"All that is in the world is the lust of the flesh, or the lust of the eyes, or the pride of life; libido sentiendi, libido sciendi, libido dominandi." Wretched is the cursed land which these three rivers of fire enflame rather than water! Happy they who, on these rivers, are not overwhelmed nor carried away, but are immovably fixed, not standing but seated on a low and secure base, whence they do not rise before the light, but, having rested in peace, stretch out their hands to Him, who must lift them up, and make them stand upright and firm in the porches of the holy Jerusalem! There pride can no longer assail them nor cast them down; and yet they weep, not to see all those perishable things swept away by the torrents, but at the remembrance of their loved country, the heavenly Jerusalem, which they remember without ceasing during their prolonged exile.

ReplyDeleteThe Jews, Hebrews, Israelites, whatever you want to call them ARE fossils; their time has come and gone, their civilization has already waxed and waned just as have so many before them -- since true Jewish high-culture ended around the 1500s, Jews have done nothing more than hop on the backs of other cultures, peoples, and civilizations since they entered their decline.

One could of course argue that these Jews were all "parasitic" on German culture, but what has happened to German culture since the removal of such "parasites" in an act of unparalleled self-destruction? Rammstein and leiderhosen do not a high culture make.

ReplyDeleteWrong again. You apparently know very little about Sephardic history, which is not a strong point amongst y'all insular, arrogant, and sneering Ashkenazim. How can JEWISH high-culture peak in an entirely GERMAN milieu, using the German language, in German cities, German universities, Western/German science, German literary ideas, etc. Also, a lot of those people actually had more than a bit of German blood, and their German blood may have even predominated over the Jewish blood they had in some cases. Also, a lot of the people you listed are second-rate writers and thinkers and they will not be permanently remembered or cared about compared to the Jewish writers and thinkers of the Sephardic Golden Age which every scholar of Jewish history knows were infinitely superior to the 20th Century German-Ashkenazi dilettantes who merely latched on to German/Western culture like leeches.

That was a true JEWISH High Culture because they very often wrote in Hebrew, spoke in Hebrew amongst themselves, were immersed in a very Jewish milieu, wrote excellent Jewish poetry, invented and studied Jewish mystical ideas like the Kabbalah, perfected interpretations and arguments of the Talmud, many were actually quite attached to or grounded in the Iberian soil (Jewish farmers and peasants and such), they cooperated with the Muslims, Moors, and Whites of Iberia, and so on - it was a true JEWISH Golden Age, not just a bunch of arrogant, anxious, and deracinated urban Jewish 'intellectuals' who were recently liberated from their Eastern European Jewish ghetto hovels that were writing 'avant garde' junk and boasting amongst themselves about their 'Jewish genius' in some German cities.
The Ashkenazi phenomenon of the 19th-20th centuries was nothing more than a kind-of Jewish cultural 'aftershock,' and VERY destructive aftershock at that - it likely only happened because of the infusion of White/European blood which the Ashkenazim received since they were liberated from their ghettos, the thieving of European blood for Jewish enrichment.
The Ashkenazim are late-comers to the diaspora Jewish game, since the Sephardim actually far outnumbered the Ashkenazim until the early 1700s or so. After the Sephardim were expelled from Spain and Portugal in 1492/97, many fled to Eastern Europe, Poland, and so on and interbred with some Ashkenazim living there. They also entered the UK and spurred the expansion of the British Empire, and also infiltrated the (now steeply declining) British aristocracy by stealing some of their genes.

ReplyDeleteSince the end of the Jewish diaspora High Culture of Iberia and the Mediterranean circa 1500 (mass-expulsions from Spain/Portugal or forced conversion to Christianity: take your pick) Jews have been nothing more than parasitic ‘piggy backers’ riding on the coat-tails of The West, stealing White/European genes (and money too, of course) when they could to keep them afloat and up-to-par in a civilizational sense. It is increasingly obvious to many that modern Jews are a decrepit 'people' that is only able to retain their power through lies, manipulation, subterfuge, monopolies, and attempting to economically enslave other groups with crypto-communism, the corrupt mass-media, the monetary printing-presses of the USA and the UK, and so on - needless to say, all of that is all coming to an end now with the dawn of the internet age of freer knowledge, the Jewish racket is on its last legs. I suggest that you and other Jews stop being voluntary exiles and head on back home to Israel whilst you still can.

What happened when Germany tried to remove the Jewish parasites, monopolists, and fossils from their midst is that a worldwide war of total destruction was started against them, many of their best young men were killed in that war (loss of vital racial-national blood), their entire country was bombed in to the dust by the mostly Jewish-controlled USSR and USA - that is what happened to Germany; but they can't be kept down forever, just as was predicted by the National Socialists a New Germany will rise from the ashes of the 1945 defeat: soon enough, soon enough...

Ironically, the "Jewish-controlled" West was more sympathetic to defeated Germany than Hitler. Hitler had no moral criteria, measuring everything by the "triumph of the will." Since the German people had failed him, they had proven themselves unworthy to live. The Biblical values of mercy and the innate worthiness of life, which Hitler and his ilk so despised, were what guaranteed the survival of his people even in defeat.
